  2. The Book of Isaiah (26 Lessons)

St. Jerome likened the book of Isaiah as the gospel of the Old Testament because Isaiah prophesied more about the Messiah than any other book in the Old Testament. He also described in great detail the blessings of the future kingdom of the Messiah. His coming would be as a lion bringing the day of God's wrath, but first He would come as a Savior who would die for the sins of the people. Isaiah focuses on the salvation that will come through the Messiah. Some examples include Isaiah, chapter 9, where we’re told that the Messiah will one day rule in justice and righteousness; the eleventh chapter states that during the reign of the Messiah there will be peace and safety for Israel and according to Isaiah 42:6 and 55:4, through the Messiah, Israel will be a beacon of light to all the nations. The Messiah’s kingdom on earth (Isaiah chapter 65-66) is the goal towards which all of the Book of Isaiah points.

  3. The Gospel According to Matthew (28 Lessons)

Commentary by Scott Hahn and Mark Shea - presented by Fr. Matthew Kauth

The Gospels themselves include hardly any details about who Matthew was, but we have him and the Holy Spirit to thank for the beautiful, earth-shattering Gospel he composed. Matthew’s main point is simple and profound: Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of the Old Covenant.

Matthew’s Gospel also is the only one to explicitly mention the Church: “You are Peter, and on this rock I will build my Church” (Matthew 16:18). Matthew shows very clearly how this Church is Jesus’ Kingdom of Heaven on earth, and he preserves the teaching of Christ in a timeless, well-structured way.

Scott Hahn, Mark Shea, and Fr. Matthew Kauth pull you into the world of this New Covenant with years of experience and insight.

In 28 fascinating lessons with a 1,000+ verse exegesis, you will learn:

-Why the long genealogy from Matthew 1 is so important

-The strategy Jesus gave us to fight Satan in the deserts of our own lives

-How the Beatitudes are Heaven’s response to our earthly desires

We hear the Gospels so much at Mass that it can be hard to look at them with fresh eyes. In this study, however, you will read Matthew as you have never read it before—and in the process, come one step closer to knowing what a priceless gift we have in the Holy Spirit and the works he inspired.

  4. The Book of Romans (25 Lessons)

Commentary by Scott Hahn and Mark Shea - presented by Fr. Patrick Winslow

The Book of Romans is dense and potentially imposing, but with years of experience under his belt, St. Paul wrote it for two simple reasons: encouragement and guidance.

This epistle is so packed with theological wisdom that it influenced Christian theology more than anything else Paul ever wrote. In a fascinating 400+ verse exegesis, Scott Hahn, Mark Shea, and Fr. Patrick Winslow spare no expense in breaking down the rich ideas for you.

In 28 detailed lessons, you will learn:

-The difference between “hearers of the law” and “doers of the law”

-What it means to be “under the power of sin,” and how to move past it

-How Christ fulfilled the law and the prophets by his blood

Let Scott Hahn, Mark Shea, and Fr. Winslow be that guide for you as you peer into the depths of Paul’s heart, which beat so much for Christ that he inspired a whole Church!

  5. Hebrews and James (28 Lessons)

Commentary by Scott Hahn and Mark Shea - presented by Fr. Mitch Pacwa

Hebrews is a masterfully-written work with a fascinating point: the New Covenant of Jesus Christ perfectly fulfills the Old. Even more impressive, however, is the fact that only the New Covenant can free us from sin. The news was so shocking—and so radical—that it literally shook the world, beginning with an earthquake at Calvary, and thundering down to us thousands of years later.

James was devoted to the ultimate example of redemptive suffering, and encouraged his listeners to practice what they preached. This letter is a practical, no-nonsense guide to living out the Christian life on a daily basis.

In 28 insightful lessons, you will learn:

-Why the New Covenant fulfills, without destroying, the Old

-The difference between trials and temptations, and how God uses them to save us

-What a faithful Christian does in the face of disappointment and anger

Let Hebrews and James both encourage you in the battle that our Lord fights with us. Scott Hahn, Mark Shea, Fr. Scott Courtney, and Fr. Mitch Pacwa will help you to see how we can fight with hope, even in our darkest days.

    Starting at: $46.95

  6. Exodus (28 Lessons)

Commentary by Scott Hahn and Mark Shea - presented by Fr. Patrick Winslow

Exodus is a gripping 1,200+ verse narrative, and one of the most famous ever told. Many of us have heard it since we were little children, but how often have we taken the time to study its chapters as our guiding light, the Church, understands them? Scott Hahn, Mark Shea, and Fr. Patrick Winslow are here to help you do just that. You will quickly discover a powerful tale of redemption and revelation that unquestionably earns its reputation.

In 28 revealing lessons, you will learn:

-What sacrament the Crossing of the Red Sea prefigures

-Why we shouldn’t be afraid to study the Old Testament

-How God responds to us when we try to run ahead of him

In the Christian life, everyone is a pilgrim. What God told Moses thousands of years ago still applies to us today: God will fit us for our tasks. 7. Angels Throughout the Ages (15 Lessons)

We hear Scripture readings that tell stories of angelic interventions in history. There's a flip side, of course, to the angels. There are also the demons.
In these lessons, we're going to meet some of the angels and demons featured in the Bible as distinct spiritual persons, with names and identities. We'll treat them like real people we would actually meet in our lives, because that's how they're portrayed in the Bible.

Who are they? What do they do? And what do their names teach us about who they are?

Angels Throughout the Ages is a fascinating study on many types of angels, including the fallen angels (demons), and the three Archangels. Some of these sessions cover demons and their evil effects in the world. Entertaining Angels is the best choice to study the good Angels. All teaching is biblically based from the Catholic perspective.

Commentary by Steve Ray - presented by Fr. Scott Courtney

Do you ever feel overwhelmed by the constant challenges of daily life? Do you struggle to “let go and let God?”

We all need role models to encourage us through the mess that daily life can become. Joshua was no stranger to this challenge—especially when charged with picking up where Moses left off, and leading the Israelites with prudence and patience.

In the Book of Joshua, through a detailed exegesis of 650+ verses, Steve Ray and Fr. Scott Courtney are committed to showing you how completely Joshua trusted in God. Even while faced with severe setbacks, not once did this prophet doubt that God knew exactly what he was doing.

  10. 1st Corinthians (16 Lessons)

Commentary by Steve Ray - presented by Fr. Patrick Winslow

1st and 2nd Corinthians are two of the most beautiful and heart-wrenching epistles Paul ever wrote. They reveal that Paul’s life, and the life of every Christian, is never easy. As you will discover, however, he never stopped fighting for unity and charity to his last breath.

In the first letter, his concerns are very practical, as he helps the Corinthians confront and overcome their constant spiritual struggles.

By the time the second letter is finished, much has changed, and Paul is a victim of slander. Steve Ray and Fr. Patrick Winslow return to guide you through this intimate, heartbreaking letter.

In 28 lessons and 650+ verses combined in these two letters, you will learn:
